Remember that House the House DJ Competition we posted about ages ago? Fatboy Slim is set to perform at the event on Wednesday the 6th of March, after the winner of the competition was picked a few days ago.
‘I’ve played some exciting and unique places around the world from Bondi Beach to The Great Wall of China, but playing in the House of Commons might be the most unique to date,’ he told the press, adding, ‘I’m a proud supporter of Last Night A DJ Saved My Life and the work that it’s doing with House The House. Music is a huge part of my life and to give something back in this way is amazing.’
The competition has not been without controversy however, after it turned out that after a vote count mishap the winner has been incorrectly identified. Poor budding DJ Flybug thought he had won, only for the votes to be recounted and Bryce Fury of Newcastle to be declared the actual winner. Fury will now play alongside Fatboy Slim, and has also won a £20k music scholarship.
