secretsundaze are excited to announce Amir Alexander as the last addition to their New Year’s Eve lineup. And, to ensure it’s a bash to remember, they have relocated to The Bussey Building and upped the ante, making this a two-room spectacular! Also featuring the multi-talented and very much in-demand Andrés, Martyn and Trevino, alongside residents Giles Smith and James Priestley, it’s going to be big!
Chicago-based artist Amir Alexander has made serious waves in 2012, dropping killer EPs and remixes on the likes of Deep Vibes, Hype LTD, Rekids and his own Vanguard Sound. He is one of the most exciting artists to break through from the windy city this year; his sound is an amalgamation of the roots of his hometown, but also displays a great versatility and a strong edge that marks him out as a unique artist. His DJ gigs are already in-demand with other dates on this tour confirmed at Panorama Bar and Praterei in Vienna amongst others. His star is firmly in the ascendancy and his addition now makes the lineup very much complete.

Andrés (Mahogani/La Vida) headlines, bringing his classic, slick, funk disco house  roductions. Andrés’ DJ sets are much-lauded, covering house, hip hop, funk and soul, making him just perfect for NYE. Martyn brings a brand new live set to blow your minds. Known for his unique sound in production and DJ sets, incorporating house, techno, bass – you name it, some simply call it ‘Martyn music’. Trevino is no newcomer. Known for slick, soulful drum’n’bass productions as Marcus Intalex, he uses high-end production skills, focusing on more 4×4, yet still futuristic grooves, as his alias Trevino.
The venue change is a well-considered move for secretsundaze, “It’s paramount on such a big night that we are 100% happy that we will have a guaranteed fantastic party. Moving the event to The Bussey Building in Peckham is a positive move on our part, as opposed to it being forced upon us as there were some issues arising beyond our control with the original location. “We have a great track record with The Bussey Building, having hosted parties there on the roof for two years, and we feel it’s an excellent choice for NYE. Not only this but the venue move now gives us the opportunity of hosting two rooms of music, allowing us to give artists extended sets and party goers more choice and different vibes.”

The Bussey Building promises a full premises license, great facilities, excellent sound and easy transport links, which all makes this a clear winner for NYE. The place will be full of those secretsundaze vibes that we all know and love, produced on the night as only they know how. secretsundaze have demonstrated that, even 11 years in, this is a promotion team still at the top of their game. As well as providing some of London’s most stunning house and techno parties, this year secretsundaze ventured into festival promotion, with their secretsundaze Go Bang! event, an all-day and night extravaganza. Playing host to a stellar lineup that included Matthew Herbert, Four Tet, Motor City Drum Ensemble, Levon Vincent, Ben UFO, Sven Weisemann, and more alongside secretsundaze founders James Priestley and Giles Smith, it was an acclaimed success.
Having hosted a NYE party every year since 2002, secretsundaze are no strangers to seeing out one year with a bang and welcoming another in great style – and this year promises to be just as big. With Andrés, Martyn (live), Amir Alexander and Trevino, they’re pulling out all the stops to make this one to remember!
secretsundaze residents Giles Smith and James Priestley guiding the ship this is sure to be another memorable NYE, with a forward-thinking and fresh lineup to remember.

HIIO Feat. Terri B! – Something About You

February 28, 2013

South American duo HIIO (pronounced H2O) have arrived in 2013 with their attempt at creating a classic house tune. There’s definitely some classic house vibes here in the synths, the Planet Perfecto influence is pretty obvious. But this track is much slower than anything Planet Perfecto ever put out, and as a result it’s not… View Article

Arty, Nadia Ali & BT – Must Be The Love (Official Music Video)

February 24, 2013

BT is a legend of Trance production, Nadia Ali is a legend of Trance vocals. Any team up between these two is bound to be good, but when you throw in relative newcomer but excellent producer Arty into the mix as well, are we witnessing collaborative genius or are too many cooks spoiling the broth?… View Article

Kirsty – Hands High (Afrojack Radio Edit)

February 23, 2013

Who is Kirsty? We don’t know either, but this looks like her attempt to crack the commercial dance scene and she’s enlisted the help of Afrojack who provides remix duties. Apparently Sander Van Doorn said “supporting!” and David Guetta said “huge!” Although we’d question how much thought they gave to their answers when questioned. The… View Article
