In what could be a signal of the bands intentions to disband, Swedish House Mafia have announced their next tour will be “our last”. The three remaining tour dates, plus one yet unannounced show, include Milton Keynes Bowl on July 14th (confirmed as their last UK show), Ushuaia from July 4th to August 29th and Friends Arena in Sweden on November the 24th.

Whilst the announcement doesn’t explicitly indicate the band are splitting, ceasing all future tours is one of the strongest signs a band can give of disbandment without actually announcing it.

Further, the image attached below was named “end-message”, and their website only shows the below message.

Is this the end of the Swedish House Mafia?

Kirsty – Hands High (Afrojack Radio Edit)

February 23, 2013

Who is Kirsty? We don’t know either, but this looks like her attempt to crack the commercial dance scene and she’s enlisted the help of Afrojack who provides remix duties. Apparently Sander Van Doorn said “supporting!” and David Guetta said “huge!” Although we’d question how much thought they gave to their answers when questioned. The… View Article
