The future of Maxumi…

As the creator of this site, I am massively proud to call Maxumi my creation. Thanks to everybody that has helped out over the past two years, this site has been a great achievement.

Some of our achievements:

  • Exclusive interviews with the worlds biggest dance acts – including Avicii, Wolfgang Gartner, John Dahlback, Norman Doray, Judge Jules, Riva Starr, DJ Marky, Foreign Concept, Tamara Sky – and so many more. Every single one of you was a pleasure to talk to.
  • Over 250,000 hits. By no means huge, especially in comparison to other dance music sites. But to think over a quarter of a million people have visited this just feels…massive.
  • Receival of widespread industry praise for quality of journalism and support of underground artists.
  • Dozens of Wikipedia citations.

So why this post? Simply because, times are a changing for Maxumi!

First of all, I am sure you are aware we have had trouble with our hosting. Our site is very slow for reasons we cannot control. So, this week, we will be moving host. What this means is that there will more than likely be some downtime, and it’s quite possible it could take a few days to get everything back to normal. Therefore, during this transition period, I kindly ask you all to bare with me. I will get there.

Secondly, I am dying for young people who love dance music and love writing to get involved. I need you. As always, I can’t pay you simply because the site makes no money. The advertising barely covers the cost of our hosting. What you do get though, is access to exclusive PR and the chance to interview your favourite superstars. You get to do what you want, however much you want, when you want. You can stop whenever you want, and have something really rad to stick on your CV. In my mind, that’s a damn good deal and so far about 12/13 people have been smart enough to make use of it!

So please, come and help! Send me an email: michael[dot]gunner09[at]gmail[dot]com.

Lastly, thank you all those of you who read the website and come back. You people are awesome and I hope you can be patient and keep coming back for more Maxumi-goodness. With your support, I can make all the amazing Maxumi ideas in my head come true.
