Old vs new: Heritage takes UK garage next level…
Returning for FOUND 2012 is resident night Heritage, bringing in some heavy hitters from the old and new schools of the garage and bass world. Heritage looks back to the glory days of classic garage and the influential crossover period that saw 2-step leading the way for the dubstep sound. FOUND, Multi:ply & Days Like That come together for a deeper exploration of UK garage, 2-step, 4×4 and today’s bass incarnations.
On the night… the mighty EZ is sure to bring party vibes and rare dubs in equal measure. In their first London set for 10 years, original speed garage pioneers Double 99 will switch the vibe back in a 90-minute set. And completing a trio of headlining UK garage originators is former Tuff Jam don Matt Jam Lamont.
Multi:ply dons Scott Garcia and DJ Para go underground for a special main room set; modern house/garage pioneer Mosca and rising London house duo Dusky will drop ‘garage influences’ sets; Scott Garcia’s Kronik Music hosts a Troubelsome release party for ‘Huckleberry’ with Sticky, dark 4/4 garage instigator DJ Narrows, Heny G, Rude Boi Brand, Smokey Bubblin B and live PAs from Troublesome performing ‘Huckleberry’, and Rude Boi Brand & MC Fizzy performing ‘Peak’; and in true Heritage style, the night’s proceedings will be hosted and toasted by the original UKG MC – Creed.
FOUND brings together heavyweight promoters in the UK underground and beyond, and hosts some of electronic music’s most exciting established and emerging acts. Pushing the boundaries of London nightlife as we know it, FOUND continues to bring unrivalled parties and collaborations at the FOUNDation of underground electronic culture!
