Emery, one of the UK’s rising stars, releases “Into the Light” this week, a collaboration with Mark Frisch. The track is a slight departure from his usual trance sound, but still as effortlessly cool with sublime production and a cracking drop.

Through this effort Gareth Emery proves his ability to diversify without sacrificing on end result. The release comes with several remixes, including a Benjamin Bates remix which has an incredible drop that builds up wonderfully to a jaw-dropping climax. The Bates remix is quite similar to the radio edit but with a slightly softer build up.

The Lange remix though is the true highlight which returns the track to a more Trance like sound. Here, the hook works on a more subtle level and the build up is more tense.

Tokyo is next up for release and if “Into The Light” is anything looks set to continue a cracking run of form for the UK’s favourite Trance DJ and now certified producer.

But this track is much slower than anything Planet Perfecto ever put out, and as a result it’s not… View Article

BT is a legend of Trance production, Nadia Ali is a legend of Trance vocals. Any team up between these two is bound to be good, but when you throw in relative newcomer but excellent producer Arty into the mix as well, are we witnessing collaborative genius or are too many cooks spoiling the broth?… View Article

Kirsty – Hands High (Afrojack Radio Edit)

February 23, 2013

Who is Kirsty? We don’t know either, but this looks like her attempt to crack the commercial dance scene and she’s enlisted the help of Afrojack who provides remix duties. Apparently Sander Van Doorn said “supporting!” and David Guetta said “huge!” Although we’d question how much thought they gave to their answers when questioned. The… View Article
