We’re 1.25 in and so far this has been a pretty dreary affair. But wait, suddenly some chimerical synth’s cut through the wavelengths and drop into a soft focus little hook, almost nothing is happening at all now. Yet strangely I like it, much like we grow tense in the calm before an almighty hurricane, so this tune manages to get us curiously interested, what could possibly follow this almost obscene level of quiet? This is Trance – and that’s precisely the point – just when you thought all was lost more synth’s attack your senses. Then they stop again, this is just blatant teasing now, this surely can’t be it? Of course it isn’t, and 2/3’s of our way through we’re assaulted by the chorusing synth’s, deep in nature and elegant in their execution.
Annoyingly, that is now the end, another tune that makes us believe something incredible is about to happen yet….it doesn’t. However, the potential for some cracking remixes is there, somebody needs to find this Pandora Box its fucking key.
