Moonbeam – “Song For A Girl”

Proving once again, as we featured before, that not only is their music breathtaking but their videos are extraordinary and of the highest quality, Moonbeam are back, this time with singer Blackfeel White in tow. The production of both music and video is exquisite, the dousing of White in a glass of water by a scantily clad girl synchronized perfectly with the clash of a cymbal. The quality of the video is incredible, the colours are vivid and gorgeous, and just like before the video contains some very adult themes, this time torture and BDSM.

Adding vocals is definitely a risk for any producer, and the wrong vocalist can do horrific damage to a track. White certainly does damage, in the climax of the video (watch it and see) but throughout the track his vocals are perfectly weighted, and the words sprawl effortlessly out of your speakers, adding the aurora the track already provides.

Yet again, Moonbeam are showing the EDM world that they are a serious, but fun act who produce soft, funky atmospheric numbers of the the absolute highest class, whilst at the same time nudging aside any sense of pretentiousness whatsoever.

But this track is much slower than anything Planet Perfecto ever put out, and as a result it’s not… View Article

Arty, Nadia Ali & BT – Must Be The Love (Official Music Video)

February 24, 2013

BT is a legend of Trance production, Nadia Ali is a legend of Trance vocals. Any team up between these two is bound to be good, but when you throw in relative newcomer but excellent producer Arty into the mix as well, are we witnessing collaborative genius or are too many cooks spoiling the broth?… View Article

Kirsty – Hands High (Afrojack Radio Edit)

February 23, 2013

Who is Kirsty? We don’t know either, but this looks like her attempt to crack the commercial dance scene and she’s enlisted the help of Afrojack who provides remix duties. Apparently Sander Van Doorn said “supporting!” and David Guetta said “huge!” Although we’d question how much thought they gave to their answers when questioned. The… View Article
