Whatever you do, do not watch this video…

You have to wonder where Armin Van Buurens true talents lie, but if this little video is anything to go by, trance production is certainly not his strongest point. There can be no denying Armin’s achievements, and this video is a glorious, if a tad self-righteous, reminder of just how big he really is. We’ll happily admit to being jealous at not being there for ASOT 450…but one thing we would not have wanted to hear is Full Focus.

Spirito Martini Lounge – The Worlds Swankiest Church…

It’s nothing new, in fact in nearby Worthing (Maxumi is based in Brighton) a church was converted into a club years ago, and many venues adopt a church like theme. But you can’t help feel these places either outright disrespect Churches themselves or the décor is so cheap and tacky, it’s just plain awful. But not the Spirito Martini Lounge, Brussels, Belgium. This venue is simply a breathtaking club – humongous chandeliers that look as if they have been hijacked from a Palace, sumptuous wood-panelling and … Continue reading

Fabric bought by consortium – ends administration fears…for now.

It was the news everybody in the clubbing world had been waiting for. That legendary, world class venue we know as Fabric, is now out of administration after the club was bought by a consortium who have created a new company called Fabric Life Limited. Although this is undoubtedly great news, it does bring to mind quite what the future will be for Fabric. The new owners may not share the same visions for the future as founders Keith Reilly and Cameron Leslie, despite … Continue reading

Disco Chair

You’d never think that furniture and lighting could go so well together – but here is the Disco Chair by Kiwi Pom. Featuring all the colours of the rainbow, quite literally, this little piece will spice up your bedroom in a far more fresh and invigorating manner then you could possibly achieve with a lazyboy, though we’re not sure it’d do so well at comfort. Not only does it illuminate, but it can also pulse. We’re just waiting now for a sound … Continue reading

Anjunabeats Vol 8 Preview Video

There’s something about Anjunabeats that just seems so refreshing. Despite all their success, nobody can deny that these boys are dedicated to one thing and one thing only – pushing the envelope when it comes to Trance. Trance flows through their veins, and they probably care little for anything else.  It’s appropriate then that this teaser video begins with that famous footage of Earth shot from outer space. This is not music for people who like to stay firmly rooted … Continue reading

Maxumi – Brighton Clubbing Survey

We thought it’d be a great idea to find out what peoples opinions are of their local nightlife. A survey like this has never been done before, and we also plan to eventually roll out  a huge National survey covering the major hotspots in the UK. For now, we’re just going to cover Brighton. So if you live in or around Brighton and you regularly go clubbing there, please spare 1 or 2 minutes of your time to fill in … Continue reading

NRW (Nic Chagall, Rank 1, Wippenberg) – 100 Original Mix

Since Pong and Chakalaka, Wippenberg has gained almost legendary status. The tune which also came in the form of a remix by the notorious Tocadisco, carved it’s way through the dance music world leaving a forever lasting impression. Keen to follow up with an equally good tune, Wippenberg has left it nearly a year before his next release, in which he joins forces with Nic Chagall and Rank 1. The end result is an altogether more house-style affair. There’s plenty … Continue reading
