DMC legend and 5 times world champ DJ Craze demonstrates the usefulness of Native Instruments Traktor Scratch Pro. Our very own house DJ Estrada is a big fan on the software, and both use it in collaboration with a Kontrol X1 controller that allows seamless looping and beatjuggling.

By combining traditional vinyl techniques like juggling, scratching and body tricks with advanced controller-based functions such as cue point manipulation, tempo-synced effects and ultra-quick track changes, this performance showcases the cutting edge of turntablism and controllerism using the latest digital DJing technology.

The great thing about using a controller is allows you to escape the clutches of interacting with the software via a keyboard or mouse, which just aren’t made for DJ’ing.

Kirsty – Hands High (Afrojack Radio Edit)

February 23, 2013

Who is Kirsty? We don’t know either, but this looks like her attempt to crack the commercial dance scene and she’s enlisted the help of Afrojack who provides remix duties. Apparently Sander Van Doorn said “supporting!” and David Guetta said “huge!” Although we’d question how much thought they gave to their answers when questioned. The… View Article
