This is the fantastically weird and wonderful accompanying video for Boy 8-Bits new single The Keep. Wonderfully strange and surreal, and almost sounding like a sound track to an 80’s arcade game, The Keep was inspired by Michael Mann’s movie of the same name; which itself is based on the novel by F. Paul Wilson.

“I’m strangely fascinated by the movie, which is about Nazi’s taking over a citadel in Romania who due to their greed, accidently unleash an ancient evil which has been contained within its walls,” says Boy 8-Bit. “The movie isn’t particularly good, reportedly due to the studio forcing Mann to make savage cuts to most of the film. But it has a really strange atmosphere – with its excess of 80’s sounds and visuals (particularly the ‘Awakenings’ scene where the character Glaeken learns of the demon’s release).”

HIIO Feat. Terri B! – Something About You

February 28, 2013

South American duo HIIO (pronounced H2O) have arrived in 2013 with their attempt at creating a classic house tune. But this track is much slower than anything Planet Perfecto ever put out, and as a result it’s not… View Article

BT is a legend of Trance production, Nadia Ali is a legend of Trance vocals. Any team up between these two is bound to be good, but when you throw in relative newcomer but excellent producer Arty into the mix as well, are we witnessing collaborative genius or are too many cooks spoiling the broth?… View Article

Kirsty – Hands High (Afrojack Radio Edit)

February 23, 2013

Who is Kirsty? We don’t know either, but this looks like her attempt to crack the commercial dance scene and she’s enlisted the help of Afrojack who provides remix duties. Apparently Sander Van Doorn said “supporting!” and David Guetta said “huge!” Although we’d question how much thought they gave to their answers when questioned. The… View Article
