Launch features Bryan Ferry, Steve Lawler, Pete Tong, Jaymo and Andy George, and Moda.

Pete Tong has announced details of Wonderland’s Ibiza events for 2010. The flagship White Island night will hold 15 parties across the summer at Eden, running from 25 June until 1 October.

The launch party on 25 June will feature an exclusive performance from Roxy Music’s legendary frontman, Bryan Ferry. Joining Pete in the main room will be Ibiza stalwart, Steve Lawler, a name that is synonymous with Ibiza’s rich musical past.

Steve Lawler said: “I’m really looking forward to playing the opening party at Pete’s Wonderland this coming season – let the shenanigans begin!”

Radio 1 newcomers and two of dance music’s brightest ascending stars, Jaymo & Andy George, will host room 2 with their club brand, Moda, a season long residency that will bring their white-hot UK club night to Ibiza for the first time.

Jaymo and Andy George said: “We’re so hyped to be able to take our beloved Moda to Ibiza for the Summer – last year was great, but to move to a weekly slot is a whole new level. The line-ups in the Wonderland room are the best they’ve ever been, the contrast between the two rooms is gonna be perfect! We’re bringing across a load of our best DJ friends too, ensuring all the madness you’d expect from a Moda night… just with shorts & flip-flops! Seems like everyone’s involved with this project is pulling out all the stops for this – I hope Ibiza is ready! “

Beginning on 25 June, Pete will be broadcasting live from Ibiza through the season on Radio 1 – transmission dates will be available as the summer draws near.

Pete Tong commented: “For me, Ibiza and specifically Wonderland is all about special moments. Teaming up Steve Lawler, one of the world’s best djs, with Bryan Ferry, lead singer of Roxy Music and a legend responsible for some of the most important pop music of a generation will definitely be a moment for me! What a way to kick off the season!”

Now in its third year, Wonderland Ibiza follows a 2009 season that saw performances from Lady Gaga, Deadmau5, Eric Prydz, Luciano, Zane Lowe & Mark Ronson, Dubfire, Simian Mobile Disco, Faithless, and beyond.  Following on from the launch party, 2010’s guests will up the ante yet again; with some of the world’s biggest names lined up to rock Wonderland to its core. Further line-up announcements will be released soon.

Bryan Ferry commented: “Ibiza is an Island full of surprises, and I imagine me playing there must be one of them. However I have been a big fan of various kinds of dance music for a very long time, and my first visit to Ibiza was more than 30 years ago, so I feel fairly qualified and very enthusiastic about performing there. Pete Tong is one of the coolest guys on the dance music scene, and I feel honoured to be asked to play at his opening night.”

Joining Pete for the season will be main room residents Rob Marmot and Alex Ellenger (Trust).

Due to the popularity of Wonderland Ibiza, E-tickets for the event are in demand more than ever. By buying tickets in advance from the Ticket Shop, clubbers get them in advance of anyone else and at a lower price – and they don’t have to queue when they reach the club.

That’s not all. Each week one lucky E-ticket holder (plus a guest) will be awarded a ‘Wonder Ticket’ and win access to Pete’s VIP area just behind the DJ booth. The winner will be picked at random on the day and notified as they enter the club.

HIIO Feat. Terri B! – Something About You

February 28, 2013

South American duo HIIO (pronounced H2O) have arrived in 2013 with their attempt at creating a classic house tune. There’s definitely some classic house vibes here in the synths, the Planet Perfecto influence is pretty obvious. But this track is much slower than anything Planet Perfecto ever put out, and as a result it’s not… View Article

Arty, Nadia Ali & BT – Must Be The Love (Official Music Video)

February 24, 2013

BT is a legend of Trance production, Nadia Ali is a legend of Trance vocals. Any team up between these two is bound to be good, but when you throw in relative newcomer but excellent producer Arty into the mix as well, are we witnessing collaborative genius or are too many cooks spoiling the broth?… View Article

Kirsty – Hands High (Afrojack Radio Edit)

February 23, 2013

Who is Kirsty? We don’t know either, but this looks like her attempt to crack the commercial dance scene and she’s enlisted the help of Afrojack who provides remix duties. Apparently Sander Van Doorn said “supporting!” and David Guetta said “huge!” Although we’d question how much thought they gave to their answers when questioned. The… View Article
