Sister Duo MayaVanya have won the NextGen DJ competition, initiated by Pioneer DJ, Beatport and DJ Mag, and hosted on the music and social networking platform Letsmix.com.

The judging panel of dance music heavy-weights consisted of DJ superstar Sebastian Ingrosso of the Swedish House Mafia, Deadmau5’s manager Dean Wilson and David Waxman, VP/GM of the US premier dance label Ultra Records. The judges were won over by the Sisters “Future Sound of Miami”, who proved their astounding ability by mixing their own masterfully laid out edits, spanning three decades of tropical music fun, with a big room friendly tech house sound ready for next generation dancefloors everywhere.

“Whenever and wherever we’re on stage with the Swedish House Mafia, our first priority is always to create a hands-in-the-air vibe that simply screams ‘PARTY’. Hearing these ladies DJ, that’s just what I felt,” says Sebastian Ingrosso. As NGDJ winners, Maya Vanya will receive backing on launching a global career by William Morris Endeavor Entertainment, the world’s premier entertainment agency. At club land’s yearly event Miami Winter Music conference, Maya Vanya will play a DJ set at the DJ Mag party.

But this track is much slower than anything Planet Perfecto ever put out, and as a result it’s not… View Article

Arty, Nadia Ali & BT – Must Be The Love (Official Music Video)

February 24, 2013

BT is a legend of Trance production, Nadia Ali is a legend of Trance vocals. Any team up between these two is bound to be good, but when you throw in relative newcomer but excellent producer Arty into the mix as well, are we witnessing collaborative genius or are too many cooks spoiling the broth?… View Article

Kirsty – Hands High (Afrojack Radio Edit)

February 23, 2013

Who is Kirsty? We don’t know either, but this looks like her attempt to crack the commercial dance scene and she’s enlisted the help of Afrojack who provides remix duties. Apparently Sander Van Doorn said “supporting!” and David Guetta said “huge!” Although we’d question how much thought they gave to their answers when questioned. The… View Article
